 Mary Ruth Burton
President
Mary Ruth Burton has thirty years of experience in organizational development and human resources. Her industry experience includes working with sports management, financial, mortgage, insurance, information systems, distribution, manufacturing, education, engineering, health care, non-profits and government organizations.
Formerly vice president of human resources for a national information systems company, she is experienced in all phases of human resource management and training. Her areas of expertise include executive coaching; team development; training and facilitation and managing organizational change.
Mary Ruth earned her BA from Mary Washington College and attended graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has studied organizational development at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. She served as an adjunct faculty member of The University of Richmond’s Management Institute for over ten years. She has been a certified Birkman Method Consultant for twenty-three years.
Mary Ruth recently completed two three-year terms on the Board of Directors for the Association for Corporate Growth. She currently serves on the Virginia Commonwealth University Ram Athletic Executive Board. She is also on the Board of the Richmond Symphony where she chairs the Human Resources committee. She recently completed four years on the Board of Richmond’s Peter Paul Development Center which provides services to children at-risk.
